Gainesville Wedding Photographer | Lake Lanier | Georgia Wedding | Corey and Brandon

Jun 24, 2017

We are so excited to be sharing Corey and Brandon’s wedding on the blog today! We loved these two from the first moment we met them during our coffee house meeting last year. Aside from having the brightest and most beautiful smile ever, Corey has a special charm about her that immediately draws you in. Brandon is more of the strong, silent type; yet equally as charming! We were so honored to have the opportunity to serve them and to celebrate the blending of their two wonderful families.

Corey and Brandon planned their wedding on the family’s beautiful lakefront property with a ceremony overlooking Lake Lanier. The entire week leading up to the wedding, the forecast showed a high chance of heavy rain. As we moved closer to the date and nothing changed, dozens of ponchos and umbrellas were on standby in addition to extra tents. Makenzie and I prepared ourselves to shoot in a monsoon, and we couldn’t have been more excited for the challenge (we also might be slightly crazy!)

As we expected, we arrived on their wedding day in a downpour of rain and carefully got our equipment inside. By the time Corey was in her dress and ready, as if out of nowhere, the rain magically stopped and the clouds parted just in time for the first look. The rest of the day couldn’t have been more beautiful and we were elated to have blue skies!!

Corey and Brandon, we see the way you two look at each other. We see the way you connect on such a deep, emotional level. We see the way you cherish family and how nothing in the entire world is more important. We see the way you live each second with intention and how you find joy in all the small moments. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us the privilege of documenting your love story.

We hope you enjoy our favorite images from your wedding day!

Sweet Parker (the groom’s daughter) is a little photographer and she joined us with her camera while we were shooting the dress 😉

Ohhh, the butterfly pin. When Corey was a little girl, she was fascinated with this beautiful pin that belongs to her grandmother. One day, she sat in her grandmother’s lap admiring it and her mother took a photo of the two of them. It is a special memory etched in Corey’s heart… and even though her grandmother wasn’t well enough to be present on the wedding day, the butterfly pin served as a special reminder of her beloved grandmother and the close bond they still share.

Corey, you are a vision!!

That one, quiet moment after the ceremony…

We were completely obsessed with this cocktail table!!!

Special thanks to the amazing vendor team who made the day possible!!
